We want to explain how we manage our website in terms of processing the private data of all the users who visit the site.
This is an informative document issued in compliance with art. 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 – Personal data protection code or Privacy Law, and is given to all those who interact with the PIU HOTELS web services in order to protect their personal data, and it can be accessed online at:
The information refers exclusively to the Castello di Felino website and not to any other sites the users may visit through the links.
The information also considers Recommendation no. 2/2001 the European authorities issued to protect personal data, grouped as established by art. 29 of Directive no. 95/46/EC, that was adopted on 17 May 2001 to identify certain minimum requirements for collecting personal data online and, in particular, the methods, times and the nature of the information the data processing managers have to provide users when they access the web pages, no matter what their reason.

Further to visiting this website data could be processed about people who can be identified or otherwise. The data processing holder is: P.I.U. HOTELS s.r.l. and specifically the company Legal Representative.
DATA PROCESSING MANAGER
P.I.U. Hotels srl has been appointed Data Processing Manager further to art.29 of the Privacy Law, as it is responsible for the technological maintenance of the website.
DATA PROCESSING LOCATION
All processing related to the site web services is conducted in the head office of PIU HOTELS S.r.l., only by specially assigned staff.
If necessary, the data could be processed by company staff who are responsible for the technical maintenance of the P.I.U. Hotels srl website in the company head office.
TYPE OF DATA THAT IS PROCESSED
The IT systems and software procedures used for the website functions acquire certain data during their normal service, which has to be transmitted in order to use internet communications protocols.
This is data that is not collected for association to identified parties, but data which, due to its nature and through processing and association with data held by other external parties, could lead to identifying the users.
This data category includes IP addresses, the computer domain names used by users who access the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources, the time of the request, the method of making the request to the server, the size of the outcome file obtained, the numeric code indicating the state of the reply from the service (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters involved with the operating system and the user’s IT environment.
The data is only used to obtain anonymous statistical information about the use of the site, and to check it works correctly, and is immediately deleted once it has been processed. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the hypothetical case of cybercrime that damages the site: so barring this particular circumstance, at this moment in time the web contact data is not conserved for more than seven days.
Data provided voluntarily by the user
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of emails to the addresses in the website means the sender’s email address is acquired, and is necessary to reply to the request, along with any other personal data included in the message.
Specific brief informative notes are given or displayed in the site pages for certain services on request.
OPTIONAL PROVISION OF THE DATA
Apart from the specifications for browsing data, the user is free to decide whether to provide the personal data requested in the contact forms in the website. However, failure to provide the data could make it impossible to respond to the request.
The personal data is processed electronically for the time strictly necessary to satisfy the reasons for its collection.
Special security measures are in place to prevent data loss, illegal or incorrect use and unauthorized access to the data.
RIGHTS OF THE PARTIES CONCERNED
Those who transmit their personal data have the right, at any time, to be assured as to whether the data exists or not and to know the effective contents and where the data originated, check it is correct, request the integration, update or amendment (see art. 7 of the Privacy Law).
Pursuant to the same article, the parties concerned have the right to have the data deleted, converted into anonymous form or blocked if it is processed in violation of law, and also to oppose the data processing for legitimate reasons.
